Homecoming Parade 2010

DESI Student organization also participated in Home Coming Parade,
2010. All the members where wearing their “Namaste YA’ll” T-shirt.
Namaste is a Hindi word to greet people. All the members of
organization distributed candies to the kids who came to watch the
Home Coming Parade.

Holi 2011

Celebrating cultural festivals on WT campus is one of the goals of
DESI Student Organization. On 10th March 2011, all DESI students
celebrated 'HOLI' at Pedestrian Mall. HOLI is a color of festival
primarily observed in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka. Holi is celebrated
by people throwing colored powder and colored water at each other.
Sweets are distributed during the festives.

Diwali 2010

Diwali popularly known as the "festival of lights", is an important 
five-day festival in south Asia celebrated for different reasons, 
occurring between mid-October and mid-November. Diwali is one of the 
most important festivals of the year and is celebrated in families 
by performing traditional activities together in their homes.

Chilli Cook-Off 2010

In Fall 2010, DESI Student organization took part in Chili Cook-Off
and won the Best Unconventional Chili of the year award.
